Why partner with Tearfund?
Tearfund have been a St James core mission for many years. They have a ten-year vision is to see 50 million people released from material and spiritual poverty through a worldwide network of 100,000 local churches. Tearfund’s priority is to tackle HIV/AIDS in Africa by setting up strategic partnerships with UK churches and local partner organisations. Tearfund will be setting up five centres of excellence to share best practice in five strategic areas for AIDS prevention and care:
• Ending stigma
• Changing behaviour
• Preventing mother-to-child infection
• Facilitating access to treatment
• Caring for Widows, Orphans and vulnerable children.
