How will it work?
Through the existing infrastructures of Tearfund and in-country partners such as ACET we can contribute in four ways:
Prayer – Our systematic and faithful prayer will hold before God those who bring care and those who are cared for.
Encouragement – those working in the field with people suffering from HIV/AIDS need constant encouragement. They value it enormously when it comes in any form. Letters, cards, notes, emails and visits.
Skills – ACET Uganda and other partners will call on us for short and medium term skills-sharing initiatives. These could range from IT, Human resource planning and accounting to building, teaching or children’s work.
Resources – Many local projects are doing effective work but they cannot develop it through lack of funds. We have the opportunity to raise funds to help multiple projects so that each one can have three year plans for developing their work.
